NoFret Intonation is built to run entirely on your device. The app does not require an account to use. We do not sell or share your personal information. We do not collect personal information except the anonymous payment and entitlement data described below, and debug information you optionally send to support.
Microphone
NoFret requests microphone access solely to detect the pitch of your instrument in real time. Audio is analyzed on your device as it is heard and is never recorded, saved, or transmitted anywhere.
Files you import
If you load a notation or configuration file, it is read locally on your device. NoFret does not upload these files.
Analytics & tracking
NoFret contains no analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking SDKs. Practice audio, imported files, and usage stay on your device. The only information that leaves the device is the anonymous payment and entitlement data described below, and debug information you optionally send to support.
Payments
If you purchase a paid feature, we collect only the information needed to track the payment and your entitlement, and we do so anonymously. We do not use this data to identify you, for advertising, or for analytics. Apple and Google process the transaction on their storefronts; we do not receive your payment card details.
Support
You may optionally send debug information from the app to our support account (hello@synxthesia.com). What you send is a snapshot of data already on your device, such as settings and current practice state. We use it only to diagnose the issue you contacted us about. We do not use it to track you in the app, and NoFret does not upload it on its own.
Open Beta
During open beta, we use Apple TestFlight and Google Play to share a link to the app with a limited group of users. Those storefronts let us give that group free access for the duration of testing, as needed. Testers receive the app through TestFlight or Google Play testing channels rather than a public store listing.
Children's privacy
NoFret does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version here.
